Blakeney - The quintessential Norfolk coastal village full of narrow streets lined with flint built fisherman's cottages. As well as some excellent dining pubs, you can take to the water and visit the seal colony at Blakeney point with Beans Boat Trips or Bishop's Boats.

The Burnhams - A group of pretty villages including Burnham Thorpe - birthplace of Lord Nelson and Burnham Market, which has a plethora of gorgeous boutiques and independent shops, including The Hat Shop at Pentney House, one of the country's largest millineries.

Holt - A pretty Georgian market town with plenty of shops, galleries and places to eat. In the locale, you can get a little bit closer to nature at Natural Surroundings.

Holkham - Holkham Hall & Estate includes a marvellous stately home, rolling parkland complete with deer, shops & galleries. Holkham beach is breathtaking in its natural, unspoilt beauty. It is part of the Holkham National Nature Reserve - one of the largest Nature Reserves in the country.

Thursford - Just along from Field House, the Thursford Collection is the world's largest collection of steam engines and organs. Thursford enters a league of its own at Christmas with its 'Santa's Magical Journey' experience & 'Christmas Spectacular'. Please note - Field House books up very quickly around this time. |
Wells-next-the-Sea - Pretty and popular fishing village with a sandy beach, seaside amusement arcades, shops, galleries, places to eat and a harbour. Familiar associations include fish'n'chips, cockles and crabbing beside the harbour. If you're in the mood for activity, there is a nice walk between Wells and the Holkham Estate or the Oceaneus Sailing School, which offers all manner of water sports for individuals, families and groups.

Walsingham - The medieval village of Little Walsingham is well known due to its association with The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, a place of pilgrimage. It is also very pretty, with narrow lanes and a varied selection of shops & historical buildings, including the ruins of both an Augustine and Franciscan Friary.
